Amos Stewart, a beloved figure in the community and the owner and founder of FAMOUS AMOS APPLIANCE REPAIR, passed away on February 12, 2025, at Centinela Hospital Medical Inc. He was born on May 18, 1940, in Louisiana, and spent his life dedicated to his craft and the people surrounding him.

Amos was widely recognized as one of the top appliance repairmen in Los Angeles County and throughout California. His expertise and commitment to excellence earned him a reputation that many aspired to emulate. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed the satisfaction that came from fixing appliances and helping others.

In addition to his professional achievements, Amos was a man known for his vibrant personality and love for storytelling. He had a remarkable ability to socialize and engage in conversations with people, often sharing old, funny stories that brought laughter and joy to those around him. Family gatherings during holidays were particularly special for Amos, who loved to Bar-B-Q and create lasting memories with loved ones.

His interests extended beyond his business; Amos found joy in fixing things, watching his favorite episodes of Sanford & Son, and ingeniously converting junk into something useful. These hobbies reflected his resourcefulness and creativity.

Amos is survived by his loving family, including his daughter Stacy and son Tracy. He is also remembered by his devoted sisters Mary, Maple, Lola, and Mittie, as well as his brothers James and Richard. Amos was preceded in death by his mother Mittie Stewart, father Richard Stewart, sister Theresa, and brother Jack.

A viewing will be held in his honor on June 11, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at C.L. Lynch Mortuary - Encounter Chapel, located at 18749 Crenshaw Blvd, Torrance, CA 90504.

Amos Stewart's legacy will be cherished by all who knew him, as he touched the lives of many with his warmth, humor, and unwavering dedication to both his profession and family. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call him a friend and a family member.
